i have a western digital WD5000LPVT from 2012 that im trying to turn into a internal hdd for a xbox 360 s but no matter what i do i cant get it to show up on the console it flashes fine and hddhackr formats and adds partion 0, 2 and 3 and it will flash back with the undo file fine

i have tried tons of times now and cant get it to work no matter what i do i also tried running wd data lifeguard on it to write zeros and that went fine then tried running hddhackr again and same thing it does not show up on the 360 and i also tried using FATXplorer to format it same thing still will not show up on the 360

i then tried flashing with a different hddss it still would not show on the 360 also i have another hdd i made along time ago and it will work in this 360 s but i also have a 360 e so i need to get this hdd working if i can does anyone know anything i can try to fix the issue ?

these are retail 360s not rgh also i tried running hddhackr on 2 different dell latitude d830s and one dell latitude e5400

It's most likely the SATA chipset in those laptops, even though Hddhackr looks like its working its actually not working 100% correctly.

I do remember it been extremely fussy back in the day when I was hacking hard drives.

The 360 can use up to 2TB USB drives now if that's any help for adding space, historically hacking a hard drive was the only option.
