I have old xbox one with faulty hdd and this firmware. I'd like to keep the older firmware there in case software exploit will ever get found.

i need to mention OSU1 isn't working, hdd checked on windows... all good

I have an original Xbox One that has a dead HDD and the OS version 10.0.17133.2020. The OSU2 or OSU1 update procedures do not work and even the update from the following month does not work. The update attempt immediately fails. Unfortunately no data can be extracted from the original drive. If anyone can provide the April 2018 update so I can build a fresh HDD, that would be fantastic! I'd hate for this barely used Xbox to become eWaste.

Specifically, the OS Version displayed in recovery mode is: 17133.2020.amd64fre.rs4_release_xbox_dev_1804.180418-1415

Hey InsaneNutter, it looks like there are 0 seeds for the 2020 torrent. Would you be able to re-seed that? I want to grab specifically these two:

• 10.0.19041.4172 (rs_xbox_release_2008.200921-1330)
• 10.0.19041.4981 (rs_xbox_release_2010.201009-0000)

It's seeming like a fool's errand more and more, but I am currently trying to resurrect an xbox one "prototype" which has come into my possession. It's currently on 19041.4379.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2010.201018-0000, which I'm not sure if you or anyone you know ever archived a 19041.4379, but ideally that's the actual OSU I'm looking for if it ever was archived. I did see some other members mention that same specific version on the October 2020 OSU thread. Or potentially a 19041.4655. Right now, turning this prototype on, or trying to reset it (reset all/keep apps) eventually culminate in a "It's time to update / Checking for updates..." screen. I previously tried to let it connect to the internet to see what would happen, and the entire prototype's HDD gets wiped if I connect to the internet (I had HDD backups which I was able to restore after finding this out), so connecting to Internet is out of the question. I'm hoping there is some way to get by this annoying forced update attempt through an OSU, but I don't think I can just grab a new(er) OSU either as that hits a E101 00000507 8B050076 (Hardware Deprecation Error), so it really seems like my potentially only hope is finding the current version's OSU or a compatible "close-enough" one (maybe 19041.4981 if I am able to download it).
