3900x3892 (8.5MB) Poster Image 24 is set to return in January 2009 however we will also get a 2 hour movie this fall to fill the time between Season 6 and Season 7, I thought I would start a thread so we can discuss the new season and the 2 hour movie. Season Seven will be a bit different as CTU is no longer a part of the series, however Chloe O'Brian and Bill Buchanan will return. Series 7 features the first (in the 24 universe) female President, Allison Taylor and her husband Henry Taylor. 24 Day 7 Preview
The first season of 24 was great, the second was also pretty nice. After that it kind of went down hill. It was all just basically the same every time. Now the only original cast member left is Jack Bauer (and Tony seems to be back, I don't believe he was there last season). Still I'm looking forward to watching this. Since there was no 24 last year due to the strike, I'd like to see it again. I wasn't aware of the movie though. Will it just be a 2 episode thing or will it be an actual movie?
I do agree that all the each series has similar plots but I think there is enough variation to keep things fresh and interesting, along with some good twists. Your right, Jack is the only person to be in every series however his daughter makes appearances in quite a few series along with Chloe, some members of the US government and some other members of CTU. It keeps you on your toes as you never know who is going to get killed off The movie this fall will be an actual movie that will be released on DVD 2 days after it airs on American TV. I see where you're coming from and although there are similarities between the seasons I think for me they still managed to make it diverse and interesting enough to continue watching. The trailer looks like they've gone about this season a lot differently so it should offer something new and improved, so you have no reason not to watch it! I didn't know that a film was been made either but I hope that it lives up to the TV series. I think if it's a two hour film then it will probably be done like a normal film and won't follow the format used for the TV series - it could even take place over several days or months. Does anyone know if there are any trailers for it yet?
Wow never knew a movie was coming out. Should make things interesting. I got bored of 24 half way through Season 6. Thought it got silly after Jack stopped the terrorists and then the Chinese and his father came up. So with no CTU and a change to the format I'm looking forward to Season 7 again .
YES, This show also comes on here (USA) on channel 403 NBC HD. Though at 5AM to 6AM. It says Day 6 During the final hours of a long and terrifying day, jack tries to protect the country from an international incident. Is this a rerun or a new episode? Admin edit - Moved from the Prison Break thread to the 24 thread.
It’s a re-run, Day 6: 5:00 AM - 6:00 AM is the last episode in series 6. If you watch that it would spoil series 6 if you plan to watch it.
Yup I think it is. 24 Redemption it's called, I think. It takes place over 2hours and is set in Africa. Read a review on IGN which said it was pretty good: IGN: 24: Redemption Review
totally forgot about this! I’m not going to read the review as I don’t want to spoil anything. Bring on Monday!
Just watched the movie. I wasn't expecting much of it since after watching the last few seasons, I thought 24 was getting less and less interesting, but it was a lot better than I expected. Now I can't wait until the new season really starts off! If you haven't watched it yet, you really won't be disappointed!
The movie was great, I reminded me just how good 24 is. I think it sets things up great for Series 7, bring on January I say!
You’re in for a treat trust me, I don’t want to say anything else otherwise ill spoil it for everyone. You can also download the first 17 minutes of Series 7 in the Digiex Download Centre
Watched it last night instead and thought it was fantastic. Much better than Season 6 put together and it was only 2 hours long! Liked how they introduced the new president, thought it was going to be a self contained story but glad to see that it leads on into what will be happening in season 7 (hopefully). Also I think Robert Carlyle was great and didn't mind the fact that it took 40 mins for the action to kick in as things got set up properly. Now I've just got to wait another 2 months for 24 to be back (Lost as well, YAY!).
I don't know, I'm not really looking forward to Lost this season. The whole point of it was that those people were stranded and wanted to get off the island. Now they're off and it just feels like they're beating a dead horse now. Also it was fun how things would happen every episode and you just wanted to know more of what was going on, by now there's not much I'm wondering anymore. Like at the end of season 1 when they opened the hatch, I was like what is a hatch doing in the middle of the jungle and what's in it? There's nothing like that anymore.
I think it goes without saying that I will be (then why post? Because I felt like it ). I bet Nimrod can't wait to see Chloe again
I shall be watching a day later of course, well since there are 2 eps on the 11th then 2 more on the 12th, i will wait till the 12th grab all 4 in HD and watch them in one block Kimbie
