    About the download:

MagicSeb released RAWx 360, this is a port of an interpretor (a reimplementation) of the engine used in the game Another World/Out of this World.

Another World, known as Out of This World in North America, is a 1991 cinematic platformer designed and developed by Eric Chahi. The graphics and box art were designed by Chahi, while the music was composed by Jean-François Freitas.

Selling around 1 million copies in the 1990s, Another World was innovative in its use of cinematic effects in the graphics, sound and cut scenes, with characters communicating through their facial features, gestures, and actions only. This cinematic style granted Another World cult status amongst critics and fans. Eurogamer called it "one of the most visionary and memorable games of its time."

    Story

The protagonist of the game is Lester Knight Chaykin, a young, athletic, physicist. Lester arrives at his high-tech underground laboratory in his Ferrari during a thunderstorm, and continues to work on his experiment using a particle accelerator.

Right before the particles reach their intended destination, lightning strikes the laboratory and interferes with the accelerator, causing the unforeseen teleportation of Lester to a barren, alien planet.

After evading a number of dangerous indigenous animals, Lester is enslaved by a race of humanoid aliens and taken to a subterranean mine/prison system. With the help of a captive alien, Lester tries to escape, and must continue to evade capture whilst travelling through dangerous environments, battling wild creatures and solving numerous puzzles to survive natural hazards.

In the end, Lester is severely wounded by a guard, but manages to save his alien friend from death. His friend picks up the weak Lester and they escape on a giant pterodactyl-like creature, flying off to the horizon.

Yup, I had an Amiga 500 which was upgraded to 1mb of ram. I never finished the game either, I kept going back to it over the years... not sure why I couldn't finish it now to be honest.

I still have the Amiga (somewhere) and loads of games for it, got some pics of random discs and stuff in this gaming history thread.

stoked about all the amiga fans....here in North America we were vey much the minority......now the MAC has taken over as "the cool computer for multimedia" amazing how gret the amiga 2000 was back in '88. The PC gamers were so jealous and would call it "just a games machine" why the hell couldn't commodore market stuff better.

Indeed the Amiga was great back in the 80's and early 90's, it just failed to evolve like the PC.

The Amiga 500 was the only computer in our house until 1998 when we got a PC running Windows 98. There was no contest between the too by then. I was only really young when we got our Amiga so i mainly used it for drawing in Deluxe Paint and playing games, some pretty awesome games might i add!

A little about my Amiga history can be read here, still got loads of games for it :D - https://digiex.net/general-discussions/gaming-hangout/363-your-gaming-history.html#post3370
