The author NiteShdw decided to release an autoupdate to BatteryBar (v3) which disabled features like Notification and Settings unless you paid $7.50. Lieying stating an update is available and if the user clicks yes disabling features which use to be free and then making them pay for them is dishonest.

This is the last non-beta build released while the program was classed as freeware.

Will this keep track of the battery in my computer and tell me when it's about to die?

    OMG
    That is so cool! ;)
I've always felt there should be some way to check that. The only thing is how and where do we get new batteries when it IS about to die?

This thing's screwy! I just downloaded and ran it an it's saying I've got no battery! That's impossible! ALL computers have batteries! It's the reason why we don't have to resest our clocks and calendars every time we boot up!

Its assumed, seems theres no way with most motherboards (nor really a need?) to tell the battery status of your bios one, it lasts for 10+ years.
