The Black Mesa official trailer is now available for your viewing pleasure. The wait was just long enough for all kinds of crazy bets to be made, but time to cash those in, because the Black Mesa Trailer is good to go and up for viewing! You can download it from a few different places, or watch it on youtube. We hope this gives you a small taste of what the game will be like, and we hope it was worth the extra wait! We also forgot to include some great Power Up shots by Kim Dahlgren, so be sure and check those out on our media page! This officially concludes our media release, but not future updates! And as stated in the trailer, the days this mod stays in development are truly numbered. Hang tight, because at long last, it is coming. Nope it’s a mod made by people in their spear time, I think valve have helped them when they have had a problem though. Im sure this will end up on Steam at some point, it should be free when released as far as I know.
Very nice, I have been looking forward to this mod for a long time now. I wonder why Valve hasn't picked up on this though. They could actually sell it on steam as an indie game. It seems too nice to be a mod.
Seeing as it's a mod and most mods are for PC, I think this is going to be just for the PC Haloman. Your computer can run HL2 so you should have no problem with this (I think). If not then you'll just have to see if they release it on consoles somehow or if Valve intervenes and releases a box copy. If that sounds unlikely then you don't know Valve very well (Counterstrike was a mod as was Nebacular Drop (the team that went on to make Portal). The trailer looks great. I've been waiting for this for quite a while now and can't wait till they release it next year. I was dissapointed in HL: Source and from the looks of things the mod team has done well. I might finally get to finish Half Life at last
Sierra also bought Rewolf's HL1 mod Gunman Chronicles and released it, so there's enough mod's being released as a full game going on in the HL world to hope for it to happen here as well.
