I have a bluetooth usb dongle from IOGear (GBU421), but any sound that's being output to my speakers through it starts (albeit subtle) cracking up after 5-7KHz. if I use any other bluetooth capable device, the sound comes through just fine. it's just this dongle, it seems. one of my friends had suggested it was a stack issue (I don't know much about that). now, I'm trying to find out what I can use to fix this sound problem. but I'm afraid of using the installer from Broadcom because I just read up on a loooot of people saying their data got erased because of it. and I'd rather not spend all of my day fixing a problem which seems like a huge programming flaw (ahh, irony).

so my question is, if I can't use anything "official", what am I supposed to use?
