    Hello again!

I purchased a Bluetooth portable speaker yesterday and was wondering if connecting via Bluetooth had worse audio quality than connecting via aux cable?

If it matters, the speaker is the Nixon Blaster.

    Cheers,

    Hope to find out soon!

Bluetooth connected speakers sound good. It should be the same quality if you used an aux cable.

It depends on what version of BT you have (v2, 3, 3.1etc). Also depends what kind of codec you're using to stream said audio. If it's normal A2PD, you're going to get a bit of audio compression, which will decrease the sound quite a bit but if you can use aptx, the quality will be fairly decent.
