    Just play this game with the modded game save offline .
    If you want to play multiplayer or if you go online , then replace the game save with your own .

    I do this all the time and have never got caught yet, thou I never try to mod the multiplayer side just only the single player side, so that they can't ban me. I also change my achievement times to correspond to the correct date in order that most players get them in, which also helps.
