    Rollcage Stage II

These days with everyone buying laptops and netbooks people have wanted to play games on them, but theres always a problem... Modern games like Crysis, Red Alert 3 and so fourth just wont work unless they spent a lot on a high powered laptop. This desire for games has been filled with older games which work flawlessly on laptops. Cue Rollcage:

A awesome multiplayer racing game that supports everything resolution out there (even the weird ones netbooks use) working flawlessly on any laptop graphics card. One of the best thing is it fully supports XP and Vista and can play over a wireless ad-hoc network.

    Heart of Darkness

There aren't a lot of 2D sidescrollers being released anymore these days, apart from indie games, and some handheld sidescrollers. Heart of Darkness is one of the last 2D sidescroller games released for PC. It was released in 1998, around the time that Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was released as well. The game is really based on it's story, which you don't see a lot with sidescrollers. You play a boy called Andy who has to find his dog, which has been kidnapped by the darkness..

The game has a lot of cutscenes and plays like a movie. It's not just jumping and running either, there are a lot of puzzles in the game which you have to solve to get to the next level. After finishing a level, you can always replay it by going to the menu and selecting it there. Same goes for the cutscenes, you can watch them back anytime.

If you're into 2D sidescrollers and you haven't played this one you shuld be ashamed of yourself. It's one of the best games in it's genre so what are you waiting for?

    Ignition

Ignition is an action packed racing game viewed from above and slightly behind the player. The game has lots of fun tracks to keep you interested and is great to play with two people on one computer, something games today just don’t offer.

The game will work perfectly on Windows based PC running a 32bit version of Windows making it ideal for netbooks. If you can get IPX working in Windows XP some great LAN action can be had with this game!

I spent countless hours playing split screen multiplayer on this game back when I was younger.
