I plan on buying a 1 (or maybe 2) TB external HDD for my 360 soon. I want to use it for movies, videos, music, etc.... I just wanted to know if there was a limit on the amount of memory the Xbox 360 can read. Like for example if the console is only able to read 500 GB as a limit...

The 360 should read drives up to 2TB in size, after that it has problems.

Remember the 360 will only read FAT32 or HFS+ formatted drives.

FAT32 has a filesize limit of 4gb and Windows can not read HFS+ without a third party application, see: MacDrive Pro
