Fake Leak of Windows 8 is Actually Windows 7

A leaked build of Windows 8 has hit the internet. The private FTP site BetaArchive has one of the first records of the release, which was uploaded by an anonymous user (of course).
The file name for the 2.45 GB image is 6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us.iso. But it's a fake.
Slyck read the feedback from torrent sites and found comments saying that this is just Windows 7 renamed to Windows 8: "This is a fake. Info gathered from files : 6.1.7600. 16385(win7_rtm.090713-1255). Since Win 8 is a new kernel, this aint it."

picture below show windows 7 where as offical version has been verified from trusted sources such as cnet show build 7850 offical with NT version 6.2 kernal and also show codename midori on computer information

For your information Windows 8 Kernel was changed in Milestone 2 and this build is from Milestone 1.

The guy who posted that article is an idiot, he has not even installed it himself and has no idea what he is going on about.

Users who downloaded and installed the 2.4 gigabyte ISO were disappointed to find out that it's just Windows 7 renamed to Windows 8. Surely Microsoft plans on putting considerably more effort into their new OS

Its an alpha build that has been compiled over two years before Windows 8 is set to be finalized... what exactly did he expect to see so early on? visual changes will come later, look at the Windows XP, Vista and 7 betas and you will see that.

obviously it would be based on windows 7 kernal because to my information windows 7 kernal is just vista which was improved and made faster

Obviously Windows 8 is progressing, I think people just expected the leaked build to have been compiled yesterday and not 7 months ago.

that leak is windows 8 because have many modifications on aero's performance and turns on so fast.... it haves an incredible performance
you can enable the ribborn ui and many other things...
