Ok, so I tried to use HDD Hackr and got the "ATA Device not present" error, I am aware it's a computer problem, but I have now tried it with 4 different computers and 2 different hard drives, to the same error. Ideas?? All comps were totally different, one a Windows 8 desktop, one a WIndows 7 laptop, a XP laptop, and a Vista laptop, in other words all made in different times... Same thing, two comps were slightly different, they both said "Check DRQ error! No ATA idendify possible. No ATA Devices present!" while the other two just said "No ATA devices present!" I also know that these HDDs work with these comps, so it isn't the HDDs. I would have tried HDD Hackr v 4, but I couldn't find a download for it, if anyone has one I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Download HddHackr v1.40 Build 20130303 As for Hddhackr not working have you 99% of problems are caused by the SATA chipset on your motherboard or BIOS configurations such as Legacy IDE not been enabled, AHCI been enabled or Raid been active. Have you been in to the Bios config and check any of the above options are not enabled?
Under drive configuration I found something that said ATA/IDE Mode, and it says it is in "Legacy" mode, sorry, BIOS isn't my thing lol, is it right or do I need to chang eit or is that not what you're talking about?
