Help shape the Digiex Minecraft - Looking for advanced/technical users.

Hello all,

We are currently looking for a few of our more technical minded players who would like to help prepare the new Digiex Start per Phase 2 of the Fresh Start Plan coming this November.

As part of the plan, Jessenic and xzKinGzxBuRnzx's are currently writing our own plugin to give us all the commands and features we will need in the 1.9/Final Server. As such, we currently have a test server up running early alpha's of the plugin. What we need, is for players to come in and test the functionality, report bugs, and request missing functionality.

In return, they will gain early access to the final worlds which will come in the Main Server. Please note we are only looking for players who are happy to spend 5 minutes writing up a bug they found, or posting new feature requests. They also must be willing to sign up on Github and use the official issue tracker on there plugin. Remember, if your looking to joining the operator team at some point, it's a good idea to do this also!

For those who are interested, first of all contact an Admin to get the IP address of the server. Please note the server is nothing more than a test, none of the worlds will be kept. As such, have fun TNT'ing Minetopia while your bored.

Current features under testing:

Teleport between Creative and Survival via:
/World Survival/Creative/Minetopia

TP to other users
/tpa username

Setting Home:
/sethome
Get home: /home

TNT and Creepers should be blocked in all worlds except Minetopia.
Fire Spread should be under control
Inventorys between Survival and Creative should be separate.


Please remember - Report bugs on Github and not on the forum!
Also note only Admins can reply to this thread, which will be new features requiring testing.

 

Apologies, from a few messages on Skype / Trillian it appears a few people aren't clear on what they need to feedback and the purpose.

Let me explain, besides a few really powerful plugins (like Logblock and WorldBorder) everything else from Teleporting, to Spawn, to Setting Homes, to Blocking Creepers etc is all handled via one plugin, named SFPlugin. Which is a custom made plugin by Jessenic with help from King. This plugin is the only way you can add any features to our server, be it lifts, or protection or more.

Therefore, any feature which is currently missing from the Demo Server, which you think our Server needs should go down on the GitHub, it will then be evulated based on how much of an impact to server resources there are, and the time taken to code, then given a Milestone to build it to.
The same goes for editing features, want to change the time on Warps, or change how a command or vote works, it again all needs to go down on this Github. Also any bugs, again go there.

So if you want a command, or feature in the server, that is the place to post it. Found a bug? Please report it.
This needs to be sorted and finalized in the next month, as this will be for the live Fresh Start Server, Once its live, you cannot request new features as quickly as its easier to work on a Plugin while its not in use, than the extensive QA we have to do on a live server build.

To reward those who do that extra mile and provide really good feedback, bug reports and feature requests. Your be given access in the Main Server right now, to the Builders Guild. A way to thank those few, that actually take part.

 

King pushed a new update, which changes how the Teleport related commands work. We decided to remove the Cooldown, so once you have teleported you can put in another request straight away. We changed the rules slightly, so if your in a Survival World, your affected by the timer, if your in Creative, the timer won't apply. The timer is still set for 30 seconds, so from a command being sent, you have to wait 30 seconds to teleport in Survival. The rules for this should be:

If this is not the case, can you please raise this on the Github.
Also the command /abort has been updated, so now if your in a 30 second hold period before teleporting, you should be able to abort it and start again by using the Abort. At the same time, while your in the 30 second hold period you won't be able to do any new Teleport related commands until either the current one finishes, or has been aborted. If you try to TPA or TPAHERE someone who is currently on a 30 second hold, you should also get a message of that asking you to try again later.

If users can please test this, and let us know if the expected outcome happens, it would be much appreciated.

 

The Test Server has received a lot of love recently, and still needs some testing!

• Its now on 1.9 Pre Release 5 (This has lots of bugs like Redstone and so fourth, be sure not to confuse 1.9 bugs with Plugin bugs)
• Mail System is now live. Commands include: /send /read /clear
• Teleport System Updated - Now includes an expermental Abort system and timeout (5 minutes) for questions. urgently in need of testing. Same rules apply from previous update
• Using beds to set home now works, when using a bed you get a question to Set it to your home, can select /no if visiting someone elses bed!
• Coloured Names in Tab Page

If people can please test the above features. So far the testing phase has been a little disappointing compared to the number of players who will love to ask for features once the server is using Live Maps. Remember, if you want a feature or report bugs, you must do it now because once the server is live, updates will be few and far between. Plus were give special early access to the server for those who have helped.
