I was actually brought in to the "Horror Meets Comedy" project very late - I believe it was because another short that they had ordered didn't pan out well but I can't remember the exact reason why as it's been a decade since I made it. James Gunn was in charge of the "Horror Meets Comedy" series and was a close friend of mine- so when he called and asked if I could put something together quickly I was happy to help him out. The short was shot in one night although the various puppets, prosthetics, and other set pieces took about 2 weeks to create. I remember a producer from the series stopped by set for 15 minutes to say hello but other than that I had no interaction with Microsoft directly - only with James. I had a ton of episodes planned out that I would have done with the series had Xbox continued it but for one reason or another they only did the first wave of shorts and then stopped - likely due to a changing of the guard/executives at Microsoft/Xbox but I'll never really know. I have spent months locating the files, I have had the privilege to speak with some of the directors involved, even asking around in some pretty strange places on the web. I remember Updating my Xbox 360 the New Xbox Experience Dashboard that introduced Avatars and a complete UI overhaul. I was only allowed on 2-3 hours a night(was 13 years old at the time) and was exploring the Marketplace for anything free, being a kid, that was my only option at the time. I came across a tab on there named 'Xbox Live Indie Videos', In there they talked about Horror Meets Comedy and had the Trailer for the video "Blue Like You" I downloaded it and loved it, Blue was/is so cute to me. I waited everyday for the videos to come out, I owned everyone of them except I believe 2 because they were steaming only I believe. I have long lost the original files on my Xbox. I would love to find them one day. Spoiler: Still live link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/season-1/8d6kgwzlcndb/0C3B If anyone has the videos not listed or the original files on your xbox, Please contact me.
