How to ban specific websites

    hi frnds can any one tell me how to ban specific web sites from pc like u should not be able to connect to the sites is there any way.....

    Parental Controls, In windows Vista. You can restrict it to what sites you allow or choose a setting and just add what you want to the block list.

    Or

    Router - im not sure how though i know in dd-wrt there is an option called access retrictions, it may be able to block certain sites, IP's or set time limit. Though Parental Controls on Windows can set time limits if your wanting that.

    It is worth noting that any website ban is very easy to bypass.

    True but if it’s your little brother/sister or someone who doesn’t have a lot of knowledge about computers they won’t have a clue.

    Using Windows HOSTS file and having limited user privileges is one easy way to do it, and almost impossible to get around.
