So, I tried to make one but it asks for paypal and stuff, and I don't know. The first time it went fine but the second it asks for paypal. Help please.
How many times has this been done on your console? I believe you click you want silver membership, and it will auto give you one month of gold if you have created less than 4 new accounts on your console.
I believe in a past update Microsoft changed the way the 1 month free trial of Gold works, now it asks for a means of payment because Auto-renewal is set to ON, it's quite cheap of them to do that as new users may not even be aware of it or know how to turn it off & then get charged but there you go, same old M$. I know Wikipedia isn't really reliable but if you look at the 2.0.14717.0 update it states the same & what your saying appears to back that up.
Basically go to xbox.com, sign in, click my account and you should be able to disable it, as seen below.
