Hello guys. My Xbox 360 randomly disconnected from the Internet a few months ago during a thunderstorm. I assume it fried the Ethernet port on the back of the console, because I haven't been able to connect since. I've tried it with other Ethernet cords lying around my house, and it hasn't worked with any of them. It doesn't seem to recognize that anything is plugged in. I don't know if there is a solve besides getting a wireless adapter. If there is no other way, I might just get all of my updates from this site, maybe even get into homebrew.

When you connect your xbox 360 to a modem or router does the light come on? Are you still in warranty?

No warranty, and I just checked the router. No lights.

The wireless adapter costs around $50. You could try calling xbox support
