Hi all. I have a JTAG which I use offline and another 360 I use online. I switch my profile between them using a USB key drive. I installed the latest version of FreeStyle Dash 3 and noticed that when running games from it FSD3 seemingly kept running in-game (pressing the menu button on the 360 pad brings up stuff like temperatures and "Freestyle Home." Is my profile still LIVE-safe if I boot into a game then load my profile with this new version? Thanks.
As far as I know, it still does. People have requested a version that does not add information to your profile and as far as I know, everyone that has asked gets flamed and accused of piracy.
Yes, I read it a year or two ago. I mean about using FSD3 to launch my games, then sign in. That post from a couple of years ago says that's fine, but the new version of FSD3 seems to be running during the game (altered menu button stuff mentioned above).
I'll have to try test that at some point, however if you care about your live profile then I would not risk it ATM. I do think it will be safe however, providing you sign in after the game has loaded. The FSD stuff on the guide is just another plugin. Like the region patches included in the hacked ms dash. Look and my guide linked to above and do some testing of your own, failing that I will try at some point I just can't promise when.
Disable the FSD Plugin in the Plugins page to stop "Freestyle Home" and the Temps from showing in the Guide menu. Didn't know it was part of a plug-in until reading InsaneNutter's post above. I was searching for a way to remove it when I came across this thread and decided to start disabling plug-ins and that one stopped it.
