People almost forget that Xbox One was built from the ground app with Windows 8 running as the App/Dashboard OS. This means long term the ecosystem for Xbox One has massive untapped potential, and one of the key apps media fans are looking out to complete the TV side is Plex Home Theater. A Plex fan (and developer for Xbox One) called Tyson Edwards has been working on a third party (unofficial) port of Plex for Xbox One and while the project has been kept mostly hidden, screenshots did leak out and got quickly taken down showing the current build progress. Have a look below and let us know what you think in the comments below. Want more details? Here's the official thread he posted: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/104978-plex-for-xbox-one-is-a-go/
Pretty awesome to see development on this is progressing well. The Xbox One will suddenly go from been useless to fantastic in regards to media playback once this is released.
