Minecraft Final is out - New Server Update - Final Week of Old Server

    Hello all,

    It's been very quiet on here, so I just wanted to update everyone on the current state of things.

    Yes, Minecraft Final (1.0) has come out. Before we can bring the new server on, we need the following to happen:

    Bukkit (Server Software) gets updated to the new Minecraft. This can take up to a week.
    SFPlugin updated to support new Bukkit (Depending on Jessenics availability, this could take a day or a few weeks).
    Map Seeds Selected and installed (This process can start now, in the Map Seed Thread for those who are interested).

    The Old Server:

    It is still due to expire at the end of the week (27th). It will not be updated any further, so if you wish to play you need to use version 1.8.1.
    You can use the Digiex Version Tool to run the older version in parallel to the latest
    The deadline for this server is not going to change, so if you wish to admire its buildings, I recommend you do so now.


    There may be a week or two where the old server is down, and the new server isnt ready. This is unavoidable however we cannot afford to pay for the old server for another month to fill the gap.

    Also, there is still invite spaces left. We just need Skeven and Jessenic to decide who there last votes are for. Then we will fill any remaining gaps and provide invites. Please don't worry too much if you haven't got one yet.

    This forum will be the official place to announce any changes, please remember that. While many of you have Admins on Skype, official news when its ready will be posted up on this.

    Please bare with us while we make the transition.

    Just a quick update.

    The new server is currently running a DEV version of Bukkit. It does not have the new map seeds attached, and is solely for final bug fixing and testing. Players recommended to give it a go. You no longer need to use a downgrade tool to play in it, just open Minecraft and connect to mc.digiex.net

    Old server is still staying at 1.8, on its last few days now so enjoy it while you can!
