Hi there..

I am new here and would be glad to get some help on my Xbox 360 Slim.

I purchase an already modded Xbox 360 slim and I am wondering if I can find out what hack was used?

I am also interested in finding out if it is possible for me to update the dashboard on my own, as the seller said it'll take a few weeks if I want to update my dashboard...

Thank you in advance.

I am not sure about emulators and stuff haven't try it yet. But it does play burned games.

You probably have a flashed console meaning the dvd drive has been modified to play burned games.

Unzip and burn this ISO here on to a DVD-R - Digiex Lost File

If XEX Menu appears under demos then you have a reset glitch hacked slim and you can not update normally.

Hi Nutter,

Thank you for your reply. I've done what you ask, and XEX Menu does not appear under demos. So any ideas?

Your console is flashed then, with what firmware only the person who did your console will know.

If you can play a backup of Gears of War 3 then you have LT+ 2.0 and update as normal, if not you need to update then get your console modified again.

Awesome. Thanks for your reply. So if I have LT+ 2.0. I can just update using the update from Microsoft?

Yup that's correct, usually you can with a flashed console. However Microsoft released a new disc format earlier this year which required the firmware on DVD drives to be updated.

Obviously updating the DVD drive firmware removed any custom firmware so backed up games did not work, you should be fine to just update as normal in the future, its always best to wait a bit with a modded console and just see what happens to others first though.
