I have a case for the new slim hdd iv put my laptop hdd in the slim and it cant find it. Iv looked on the net and its telling me i need to put it into a laptop to make it work with the 360 by putting hhdhackr and some other file on a pen drive then formatting it to the hdd. Is there any other way of doing this on a pc seeing hows my laptop is broken.
If you want to use it in a 360 you're going to need to use a computer, doesn't have to be a laptop but this is the only method that will get non official hard drives to work in a 360.
Could you tell me what i need to do please. Its a 250GB HDD. Also when i open my other 250GB offical 250GB hdd in xplorer360 or xport its says theres nothing under partition 3.
What brand of hard drive is it? Also make sure you have the right Xplorer 360 (250GB edition), if you have the wrong version that could be causing the issue. Whenever opening my hard drive I just use USBXTAFGUI v44, I've always had problems with Xplorer and Xport and never had a problem with Xtaf (after v44 was made). I suppose it's obvious but also make sure you're running as Admin if you're on Vista or Win 7.
So you have a PC you can use? Why not just take the casing off and give it a shot with HDDhacker? Only other option is this. https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/console-guides/xbox-360-guides/8569-xbox-360-how-flash-your-hddss-bin-windows.html Which apparently success rate is less than 100%. Though this could be due to human error rather than guide error.
just use this guide https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...b-sata-drive-work-xbox-360-xbox-360-slim.html if your drive has never been hacked.
