I need help to dub audio over a previously recorded video. I downloaded audacity and sony vegas and I just need pointers to see if im using the right stuff or not. Thanks Digiex.
Yes I think you have the right apps anyway, In my limited use of Audacity I was able to cut parts of an audio track out so yes with that you could get the samples you want to dub over the video. I'm more than sure Sony Vegas will be able to do that, its a professional package costing £500+, as to how i have no idea though. My limited video editing experience stops at Windows Movie Maker however even that could replace the audio track in a video. It probably would not offer you the control you wanted to dub a video though.
Audacity is audio editing software and sony vegas is probally the best video editing software out there
