Can some1 please help me, i have a problem with my pc, i cant seem to burn on any program, whenever i try burning a dvd, just before you supposed to click burn, on the program where it says "Current recorder: d:TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203B [DVD]" then i go thru with the burn, click burn, the process starts, the progress bar goes up till about 2% complete, then it just stall's and hangs there, doesnt go any further than that??? i've changed my dvd writer, put in a brand dvdrw drive (samsung), but before this dvdrw, i also had a samsung 1 in, but it was burning dvd's perfectly fine for a good couple of months, then 1 day it just started giving me that problem?? please help with this??
What program do you use to burn with? Also have you tried a different brand of DVD’s? Maybe it’s a bad batch.
Maybe try ImgBurn just to see if Nero is the problem? Its free and we have a tutorial on how to use it here
i've tried a few other programs, imgburn is actually 1 of them, i think the problem is in my BIOS, because when i checked in my BIOS, it says d:TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203B [DVD??
Any error messages (icon should be a red circle with a cross in it) or any warnings (yellow triangle with exclamation mark). Double click on any of them and see if they mention your drive or anything at all to do with Atapi or CD-Rom 0 etc. Have you tried any other types of disks? I know some people say certain disks don't work in their writers. Have you tried updating the firmware from the manufacturers website? Sometimes that can help.
Event Viewer log Expand the Event Viewer (click the +), then click Application and in the right pane there will some entries ( icon with red circile in it or other icon warnings) and right click, then Properties and then you find description of error or warning. Do a picture capture or write down everything . If you want to, post it here. Or go to majorgeeks.com ( you will have register- it's free) and post your errors there. MG has helped me several times. Good people. Sorry, I didn't upload an attachment.
