Reporting spam email when using Exchange hosted email provided by Office 365 can easily be done with a simple add-on for Microsoft Outlook.

The Microsoft Junk E-mail Reporting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook lets users directly report junk e-mail to Microsoft for analysis, this helps Microsoft improve the effectiveness of their junk e-mail filtering technologies.

Does this actually work? It's too early to say, we've only been getting our users to do this for a few weeks, however when we used Google Apps reporting spam to Google that significantly decreased the the amount of spam received for certain email addresses within the company.

Download the Junk E-mail Reporting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, it is available for Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013 32bit and 64bit editions

Using Office 365 Exchange Email Spam Reporting:

The Office 365 exchange email spam reporting tool can either be installed on each individual computer, or deployed to all the computers on your network though a group policy.
Once installed you will find a new option when right clicking on email in your Outlook inbox. Simply right click, select junk, then click the report junk button.

It's a simple as that, you can select up to 10 email's to report as junk at the same time.

You will received an automated reply once every 24 hours from Microsoft stating that your report has been received.

That it, hopefully you will soon notice a decrease in the amount of spam received.
