I recently bought a 250 gig hitachi HTS545025B9SA00 hard drive and had an old transfer cable that i bought years ago but never used. When i used it i tried formatting it on the xbox and it gave me 16 gigs. when i took it off of the transfer cable and put it in on top of the xbox it didnt show up anywhere on the xbox. I than googled it and I found out the transfer kit was a cheap knock-off from china. So i immediately went to gamestop and bought a microsoft transfer cable and I searched for a solution for that again and i used hddhackr on the drive and it said it rewrote sectors 16-22 successfully and made the partitions but it said it got an error and didnt make an undo.bin file. so i tried it on the xbox and still no luck. I literally have spent days trying to get the drive to work without the transfer cable. Can someone please help me. I think if i use someones undo.bin file i may be able to but im just making a guess. Please help.
Many people have done what you have done and basically ruined the hard drive, you can try formatting the drive in the PC as NTFS, then connecting it back to the 360 and seeing if it will show up as an un-formatted drive. Some people say this works, however most people have had no luck doing that. Hddhackr only works with Western Digital hard drives so you will not get anywhere with that, i dont really know of any way to recover from this, its been asked many times before.
First off thank you for replying. and ya, i tried that already and no luck. so you dont think that if i get somones undo.bin and flash it with mine that, it could fix it?
