Sign up for a free OpenDNS account. Add a network for your current IP address. Go to Advanced Settings and next to ‘Domain Typos’, check the box ‘Enable typo correction’ if it’s not already checked and apply. Go to Web Content Filtering settings and set the filtering level to ‘None’, and under ‘Manage individual domains’, put rad.msn.com and select ‘Always block’ and then click ‘Add domain’. Screenshot. On your Xbox, go to System Settings -> Network Settings -> (your connection) -> Configure Network -> DNS settings -> Manual, and enter the OpenDNS IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. You may need to clear your hard drive cache before ads disappear entirely: System Settings -> Storage -> Hard Drive -> press Y -> Clear System Cache (note that you’ll have to re-download any title updates for any games you play after doing this).
i did it a different way using my router> block sites setting someone posted these to put on the list,no ads come up
Thanks for the extra addresses to block Rick, i had rad.msn.com blocked on my router however was still getting some adverts. Ill block the other sites and see what happens.
people are saying blocking the ads will raise xbll price lol but i dont see why as psn survives without ad support
Ads are extra $$$ to microsoft, its bad enough ads are everywhere. This video is a joke how ads are like something a person wants to watch. Spoiler
I have found some extra addresses by using wireshark. It will block the videos,i could possibly find the images tomorrow.
Thanks a lot for this, might use it, but... I find the Xbox LIVE adverts very informative, let's say you don't have Xbox LIVE Gold and Microsoft gives away Gold for a couple of days, without adverts you probably wouldn't be aware of it. Or free full games, or whatever.
I will probably look into the rest of the ads, microsoft are using more than the original 6 posted on post #2 .
Iv never tried this cos it looks to long. But what happens when you do block it. Is it just a empty box?
