Pokemon Go recently added a friend code feature. If you are friends with another Pokemon Go trainer you are able to send them a gift each day which can contain special 7k eggs to hatch Alolan Pokemon, in additions to items such as Max Potions / Revives and Ultra balls. In the future i'm hoping it might be possible to hatch the exclusive regional Pokemon from these eggs also.

Keep in mind you can only send gifts to 20 trainers per day, although you can have up to 200 friends.
