I use PortabelApps at University, the main one been Google Chrome Portable.

Its nice to have my bookmarks synced and available when im not at home, another plus is that it remembers all my login information for websites I need to access a lot in class, very convenient I find.

    Hello,

It's very useful. When I changed my operating system (XP => Vista => Seven), I just copy my folders.
All my settings are preserved, not lost time with an installation.
I have a backup on a USB key. In case of problems on the hard disk, everything is recoverable.
Without having to configure everything again.

You can find here an example : GlaryUtilities Portable.

I use VLC portable so I can watch stuff on computers I dont have admin rights to install codes on.

Not a massive portable app user but some of them are great depending on your situation :)
