Safe to use my current 250GB HD on my new RHG/Dual Boot/LT+3.0 Console??

I have just gotten a Premodded Slim 4GB system (Coolrunner/Cygnos360 Dual-nand/LT+ 3.0) Is it safe for me to use my current 250GB HD from my 360 in this new system for non RGH use (LT+3.0 and offical retail games online)???

If so is it just a case of take it out of my old 360 and place it into my new 360, or do i need to format the drive first losing all my data on the disk?

You can just put it in the new xbox 360 and use it.
