I think is a good movie but also Arnold is not in the movie...so Terminator wont be Terminator without him...
 
Looks good. Ever since I saw Terminator 2 I wanted to see what would happen after judgement day, how Skynet created the Terminators etc.
 
I saw the advert for this today before watching X-men Origins - Wolverine, it looks really cool actually, Christian Bale seems to be very good in the clips I've seen. Loads of good films coming out this summer as well, I think I'll be living in the cinema this summer!
 
Apparently it's going to be a long hot summer according to some meteorologists and the Odeon has great air conditioning (Y)

Didn't watch the trailer on the thread but saw it the same way as you. Looks pretty good, and I was more excited after that about seeing Terminator than Wolverine! :P

I think continuity is important, so if the same character is there with a new actor that's either unfortunate (because they were unavailable) or bad effort on the director/producer's part. But if the Arnie character isn't in the movie then I don't see it as a problem.
 
I think the film introduces the first prototype Terminators and because of this none of them are modelled on the Terminator that Arnold was (T800?). I liked the bit in the trailer with that huge robot. It reminded me of Transformers a little :D
 
This film looks really good, as it will expand the story, but I am wondering whether it will be Anywhere near as good without Arnold, as he is Terminator, surely?
 
you guys do know that Arnold is a politician now (governor of California, the Governator), not acting in anything? plus hes old as dirt, and wouldnt quite be the same.

i do however agree that sequels should use the same characters, but arnolds only purpose was to go back in time to ensure John Conner's survival, so he theoretically has no place in the future.

agreeing with safinn, didnt the last underworld movie star a woman who was not kate Beckinsale? she was the only thing that made those movies good.

Wasn't he still the governor of California when Terminator 3 came out? Yeah, I guess it probably reduce the quality a bit if he couldn't keep up.|-)
 
I went to see this a few months ago now, I think Terminator 3 is still my fav as I enjoyed the story more. T4 is still more than worth watching though ;)
 
Also the Terminator 5 will appear at the begining of 2011.
The story was made for the movie, is about John Conor that travels to the past to stop the supremacy of Skynet.I think will be good enough to watch it :)
