Computer / laptop motherboards have a small battery in them, this is used to keep the time even when the computer is powered off.

Replacing the battery should fix the problem.

    The batteries cost around £1.

On a PC it would be easy, take the side of the case off and replace it, there usually on the bottom right of the motherboard.

The hard bit would be taking your laptop apart, once you have done that and found the battery its will be a two second job to replace it.
