    Top Gear Returns

Yes everybody the lads are Back on our screens June 21st. No news on any of the episodes yet but we do know that there will be at least seven shows this series.

Due to the credit crunch though we might not see any of the exotic races like the one in viatnam or africa but hopefully we will be able to see them convert zafira into an ambulence or something ;)

Really? the guys do some totally hilarious stuff.

Must admit that’s the main reason I watch the show, if all they did was review cars I wouldn’t care for it.

Easily the best program the BBC produce!

i wish i were an eastender fan then i could take umbridge at that but i'm not so we agree to disagree. roll on your birthday and that fab day after when the lads will big it up in the latest porche and that (giggle) old ford zephyr that they converted into a (wait for it )..... speed boat and then old jezer will probably sink and they have to get a helicopter to rescue him. my sides are splitting just at the thought. :)
ps. is it possible to post any other smileys apart from smiley and winking and if so how?
    cheers

It’s all about the comedy ;)

Guessing at what you were going to say it would have been pretty narrow minded view to assume anyone who watches Top Gear is not that bright.

I must be as dumb as a mule according to human then :P If you can't find the humour in the silly stunts they do then you don't get comedy or you're a bit stuck up in my opinion.

i seem to have stirred up a hornets nest with my joshing about.
insanenutter - i was joking only - and thought that i was being rather clarksonesque with how and what i was saying.
trebor - whether you are as dumb as a mule i dont know but i imagine you are probably not. as i had previously agreed with insanenutter it is a case of each to his own when it comes to humour and many other things in actual fact. and yes i am surely as stuck up as anybody else .
hoffman - i did get a degree although it was 20 odd years ago so i imagine my IQ level is on its way down nowadays - sigh. and i bet you are right in that lots of students do enjoy that ambigious trio.
As a point i do enjoy televised comedy - to name but a few
    fawlty towers
red dwarf (did you see the back to earth the other night?)
    black adder
So i apologise unreservedly for any offence given for surely none was meant - it was purely a bit of humourous sparring.

Lol no worries, not offended here... Turning in to quite an interesting thread ;)

I did watch the Red Dwarf Back to Earth too, the bit where the guys were on Coronation Street was quite good. I had never watched it before then but have heard quite a bit about it.

you need to watch the whole red dwarf set then you will understand what one form of humour i enjoy is. or watch the black adder series based in the first world war - by the time you get to the last one (especially if you have a relative who died in a war) you'll cry - exquisite humour.
    glad no offence was given.
i did hear or read somewhere that humour and the ability to laugh is the one thing that seperates mankind from animal kind.

What about Hyhenas? You didn't offend me with your post human, it's just didn't sound like you were joking is all. Thanks for explaining yourself. I also enjoy watching Red Dwarf. I assume you like scripted and carefully constructed humour as to silly and random slapstick then?
