Western Digital 500GB LPVX

Good Day! We bought an Xbox 360 E Jtag that came with 500GB external. I have also original xbox games that my uncle gave me. So I chat with xbox team and they suggested that I need to buy an original xbox hard drive to play the original games. But when I checked the hard drive, its way to expensive for a 500GB form microsoft. Endless search and found your forum. Followed the suggested western digital drive but the one that is available a WD5000LPVX. Downloaded the hddhackr 1.40, hddss500.bin and the usb creator tool. At first try i really had a problem with the msi chipset because it cannot find the drive. Tried the compaq laptop but there are no settings to change the hard disk settings in bios. My third attempt luckily I have a pentium 4 xp computer. I was able to set the thumb drive to boot first. Successfully flashed it! Inserted the hard drive back to xbox. I was really expecting that it will show microsoft official drive but it shows hard drive only. Is it normal that it will show that? or there is something wrong that I did?
Second, I also downloaded the backward compatibility 2007. I connected the hard drive to pc. Used xbox360 explorer extreme. Backedup the partition 2 and restored using the backward compatibility file. After it finished inserted the drive in the xbox. Inserted an xbox original game pacman. but it says need to update to play the game. I really don't know what to do?! If anyone can help me i would appreciate it......
