    Hi.

A 3,5" hdd requires 5V and 12V to work. I'm sort of trying to make my work as an external drive for XBox360. The HDD is drawing 5V from the XBox360 and 12V from an ac/dc adapter. If I shutdown the computer does it keep spinning? Or do I need to unplug it from the adapter too?

    Thanks.

If your done using the xbox 360 it's probably best to unplug the adapter also.

If your going to do something like that i would do it right: HDD 2 « DARKFiB3R

You can draw 12v from the 360 motherboard, as for doing it the way you are i honestly couldn't say.
