After years in development Windows 10 has finally been released. Windows 10 is a free download for anyone currently using Windows 7 or Windows 8. Eventually you will be prompted to automatically upgrade, however you can download the ISO from Microsoft and manually upgrade today.

Windows 10 Home - Windows 10 Home is the definitive Windows 10 experience for general consumers. It offers a familiar and personal experience combined with new innovations for getting things done and having more fun. New features include: an all-new web browser built for doing things online; Windows Hello which providers users a warm welcome and a convenient log-on*; and great new multi-tasking features including snapping multiple apps on the screen and creating virtual desktops for more space.

Windows 10 Pro - Windows 10 Pro is designed for small and medium businesses enabling organizations to manage their devices and apps, protect their business data, facilitate remote and mobile scenarios as well as take advantage of the cloud technologies for their organizations. In addition to small and medium businesses, Windows 10 Pro devices would be a good choice for organizations supporting CYOD programs.

I want WIndows 10, how can I upgrade now for free?

    Normal Users -
Simply download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and follow the on screen instructions.

Advanced Users - We have mirrors of the EN-GB and EN-US ISO on our members only FTP, however we have also provided links to download an official ISO directly from Microsoft. Please note if you force the upgrade with an ISO it must be for the version of WIndows you would be automatically upgraded to. For example Windows 8 Home to Windows 10 Home, you can't upgrade from Windows 8 home to Windows 10 Professional for free, it has to be the same edition of Windows. You must upgrade from an existing installation first to obtain a valid licence, after that you can clean install.

So what do you think of Windows 10, will you be taking advantage of the free upgrade?
