Windows 7 Users – Something to possibly look out for

I installed the 4 test updates from Windows Update and the update for IE8’s compatibility list, after re starting certain Windows applications such as IE and Media Centre failed to load up. After clicking on them nothing happened and no process appeared in task manager.

I managed to system restore which fixed the problem, just thought I would give you the heads up.

Anyone installed these and had any problems?

Yea i did, my system apparently 'forbids' to install them. It keeps on blocking them during the install and keeps on saying ERROR then it says reverting settings to before update took place!? WTF. i am confused...

I've installed all those updates and everything is still working fine for me.

I just tested Media Center and IE both seem to be working. As they opened up.
