Woman Bought Xbox Camera For Boy So They Could Give Each Other A "Free Show" A woman from Ohio purchased an Xbox Live webcam for a boy so that they could give each other a "free show". She has pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography. Apparently, she met the Arizona boy over Myspace and Xbox and enticed him to produce sexually explicit videos and photos of himself. Kendra L. Sasser, 32, could face up to 10 years in prison, and will be required to register as a sex offender. The boy was only 16 when the woman began communicating with him and the two exchanged photos and videos throughout August and September 2007. The investigation began when Sasser's husband contacted authorities to say his wife was having sexually explicit communications with minors over the web. Sasser and the boy discussed using Xbox Live video chat to give a "free show to each other," but the boy could not afford the camera. So on September 11th, Sasser purchased a $40 gift card from GameStop and sent it to the boy. GameStop confirmed that the boy had indeed used the card on September 14th to purchase an Xbox Live Vision Camera from an EB Games store. Sasser was arrested 11 days later. I don't know about everyone else but does it seem like people nowadays are just plain stupid (that is the nice way of putting it)? I just don't understand people that are that stupid and think it is ok.
In some countries the age of consent is 16 (UK).... But the fact that she was married, now that goes and stuffs up the whole thing.
Indeed in the UK she could have legally had sex with him at the age of 16, however for her to have pornographic photos / videos of him it would have been illegal as he is under 18. Either way she should know better...
