    About XBMC for Android:

XBMC / Kdoi ported for Android, this version was compiled from the sources on 20.02.16. I can confirm its working on my OnePlus One and a Nexus 9 tablet.

XBMC does not require root to function, I have tested some 720p video files, they will play great, as does 1080p.

    To Install:

    1. Donload the XBMC / Kodi APK, this can be done directly on your phone / tablet to start the install
    2. Alternatively copy the XBMC APK to your SD card / Phones memory via your computer
    3. Open it with your favourite file manager, Fx Explorer will work perfectly.
    4. Install, you might be prompted to go to settings to enable installation of apps from unknown sources
    Download:

Download XBMC / Kodi for Android (APK) 16.0 For ARM Devices (Most Phones / Tablets Out Today)

Download XBMC / Kodi for Android (APK) 16.0 For x86 Devices

IF your reading this you probably have a device without the Google Play store, however if you do have the Play Store its easier just to install XBMC / Kodi from the Play Store: Download XBMC / Kodi on Google Play.

Video of XBMC / Kodi on my old Asus Transformer Prime:

Updated download with XBMC 12.0 Frodo Beta 2 for Android APK

To run this beta, you will need a fairly modern Android phone, tablet, or other device. We have determined that any Android device that doesn’t include the NEON extension is simply going to run too slowly to be useable.

One Android issue worth mentioning: at present XBMC is likely to load fairly slowly on the first run as it unpacks itself. This is expected behavior. After first run, it should load quite a bit faster.

Users should be aware that an update to Android 4.2 appears to have temporarily broken XBMC support for all you Nexus and Cyanogenmod users (and anyone else running 4.2). Beta3 should be right around the corner, and have a fix for this.

I dont think you can use the ARM version on x86 devices, you could try it. I dont have any links for that unfortunately.
