If you're not aware of what NOWTV is exactly, it's basically Sky's answer to Netflix and LOVEFiLM's stream service of films and TV Series (in a future upcoming update). Here is a detailed response that NOWTV will be getting also television series: Source During the first month it's entirely free, and on Xbox 360 you get 800 MSP for no fee (During January 2013 only), afterwards the next paid month it will cost £8.99 but they also offer 1600 MSP, which in total adds up to 2400 MSP. UK Exclusive. After the 3 months the price rises up to £14.99.
TV Series and Sky Sports was always on the agenda, they announced it from day one. Movies was just the start. Its a shame about the price though, if Sky really wanted to use there headstart on movie and tv show rights, they should do so at a more reasonable cost. £14.99 for the limited selection at the moment is a joke. Maybe if they put TV Shows and Movies up the moment they air on tv though then I may be interested. But still, rather expensive. I like my netflix subscription and the price is good. Also more importantly, there is no HD :/ Streams are all SD and until they bump out 1080p HD like Netflix I'll never switch.
I didn't personally know they were going to add it, plus subtitles too sometime later. Netflix is cheaper, but they certainly take a long time to get newer films on demand for their customers to watch. I'll be trying out LOVEFiLM the upcoming month (30 Day Free Trial), and thinking of paying NOWTV £8.99 for the 1600 MSP, seems worth it for the moment. Amazon is offering £15.00 for new paying customers of LOVEFiLM, so basically you get £10.00 in total, the other £5.00 for the subscription. 30 day FREE trial and a £15 Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificate if you become a paying member | LOVEFiLM
