Windows 7 Build 7057 on my netbook, the small screen at the bottom is the netbook and the large one my pc’s monitor.

Runs perfect, so tempted to install it on my pc but I’m waiting for the final to be released.

I'm actually getting ready to build a web server here at home as well, and it looks like it will probably be running a Sempron socket 754 @ 1.6GHz and 1 (maybe 2) GB of RAM and hopefully a 300GB drive.

Yep it sure is, everything Digiex related runs on it apart from the UT 2004 server. The server is rented, Its a lot cheaper than keeping our own server in a data center.

You wouldn’t think 1.2ghz is a lot but Nimrod has done a great job optimising Apache and MySQL, we don’t quite need a server with 8 cores and 32gb of ram just yet

What will your home server be used for?

I've started a home based PC repair business and need to get some decent exposure, so I'll be building the website and using one of my existing boxes.

The website will contain basic self help information, links, free-to-use/GNU utilities for download, and of course PRICES! I'm also hoping to build a back end for booking and scheduling that is fairly easy to use, as my wife will probably be handling all of that.

I'm still looking at around a month before it all comes together, but it will get there.

Sounds like an interesting project, the only problem you might have hosting the website at home is the lack of upload bandwidth and a nasty electricity bill at the end of the month. Digiex has been there and done that, minus the electricity it’s a great way to start out cheap then pay for hosting once you get a bit bigger.

Wey mines slightly boring and messy at the moment though believe it or not i reformatted about a day or so ago. (It was worst but this thread inspired me to clean up abit )

Standered wall paper though only labelled black white img2 out of the Getty images.

Nothing else done to it apart from dragging the task bar to the top.
