SEGA Reveals Two Pre-Order Options for Alpha Protocol

In the world of espionage, nothing is as it seems in Obsidian Entertainment’s blockbuster RPG thriller, Alpha Protocol™. Players will assume the role of Michael Thorton, a highly skilled government operative trained to eliminate threats to national security. When a mission goes horribly wrong, Thorton is the only one with the information, skills, and audacity to stop an impending international catastrophe. To do so, he will utilize the very government directive that the enemy sought to use against him - Alpha Protocol.

Set in the modern day, Alpha Protocol gives players complete control not only of Thorton’s actions but his personality and attitude as well, all of which will determine the future of the world as we know it. Blending fast-paced modern combat, significant character advancement and innovative RPG features, Alpha Protocol brings a fresh new perspective to the genre.

I am looking forward to Alpha Protocol. I love the idea of it being an RPG. It almost reminds me of Mass Effect's gameplay. Hopefully the game is as good as it is said to be.

I've been wanting to play good RPG for a long time. I bought The Last Remnant which was a terrible mistake. I do still have Star Ocean: TLH to play its pretty good. Although if this is like Mass Effect it'll bore me to death before I really get anywhere.

How can you not enjoy Mass Effect? That was one of the best games ever made, and has one of my favorite storylines. I would be very excited if Alpha Protocol was like Mass Effect.

If it has GRAW gameplay mechanics, that would be a good style for it. GRAW 1&2 were great games and had good mechanics.

Mass Effect = One of the most boring games and worst games I have ever played. I just couldn't get into the game for some reason. I'd rather play a turned base RPG game, though its odd that I like those games. Some of the best games I have played are FFVII, FFVIII, and Valkyrie Profile. Those games had exceptional stories. I guess its the scenery to Mass Effect with the story that I didn't like.

Well Dark Scyth, all I can say is that you are missing out on one of the best RPG's ever made. I cannot stand turn-based RPGs, I always feel like I want to fall asleep while waiting for the combat to go through its course. I tried Final Fantasy VII back when I was younger and I hated it. Turn-based combat just bores the hell out of me. I prefer RPGs like Fallout 3, Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 (favorite RPGs), and Mass Effect.
