Activision Announces No MP Beta for Modern Warfare 2 Activision has told CVG at Gamescom that there'll be be no multiplayer beta for Modern Warfare 2. You may remember that the first MW game had a huge open beta test that you could say was a massive success in bringing people round to Call Of Duty's multiplayer options. But it looks like there's no need to do that this time round. I was kind of hoping for a beta but I suppose there is no point since everyone in the world plans on buying this game.
Seems they want to charge £60 for this game, when all other new games out are £35 there is no way I'm buying this. They are doing it to test this new pricing method, if people buy it in the UK they will think its fine to get away with £60 per game!
Outrageous isn't it? I hate how expensive games are. You aren't going to buy it? Shame on you! You are going to miss out on an epic game.
Its just a game that is blown out of proportion by far. Holy SHIT! A first person shooter that has explosive and a lot of guns! That sounds about average for the next gen FPS games, so i'll probably get it when it goes down in price. The same and opposite effect happened to World at War. Some people thought it was amazing and innovative while others could only bitch and say "why did it go back in time" in the most wretched voice imaginable. The game wasn't innovative and the people that bitched about it going "back in time" was a hideous argumentative excuse. Though the game wasn't bad it wasn't really that memorable, which is what I thought about Modern Warfare. I'd rather have Final Fantasy XIII or Bioshock 2. Bioshock 2 will have innovative multiplayer (from what i've read) and the first one had an amazing story, which is a bit more then I can say for Modern Warfare.
