I used to play everything on the PC but I've switched over to the 360 for the most part now. Think the main reason being that I don't seem to find people cheating in games like they do on the PC, but also because of Xbox Live. The only game that I've being playing on the PC recently is Dragon Age: Origins and that's because I can't imagine trying to play an RPG with a control pad.

Dragon Age: Origins is all you need.

I agree on the Dragon Age: Origins, although beware, it's kind of long, so play a class that you like doing tactical stuff with.

Believe it or not, my 8 y/o son is playing a backup copy of this right now, and he loves it.

My 8 y/o daughter is playing Oblivion, and is having a ball with it.

Me, I'm about 2/3 of the way through Fallout 3, and I think once that's finished I'm going to start on Bioshock, maybe...

Either that or I might try Anachronox again.

Your children are some advanced gamers. I'm always amazed when my 4 year old niece plays Super Mario quite well.

I'm quite the avid gamer but what some of those kids can do on video games is quite beyond what I can do. I remember seeing a four year old playing Guitar Hero 3 at best buy playing a song on expert, a song I couldn't even play and they could barely even hold up the guitar.

Love my kids! What's funny is my son watched me play around 20 hours of Fallout 3 before he tackled it. And my eldest daughter, my son's twin, decided since she didn't want to ruin my game of Fallout she would start working through Oblivion. What's amazing, is both went through and created their own characters for each game and have set to do good in their games. It's a good thing we have two gaming PC's in the house otherwise there would have been some serious arguments.

At that age I don't even think Oblivion could hold my attention, they are quite the gamers.

You do need to give Dragon Age: Origins a try BonezOz. It is by far one of my favorite RPGs that I have played. BioWare once again works their magic on RPG games. I unfortunately haven't had much time for Dragon Age lately but will get back into it soon hopefully. I want to finish it before March when the first expansion pack comes out.

I have been playing Dragon Age since it's launch. I still have not quite finished the story line yet. Almost done. I keep finding myself going back to Oblivion though. Dragon Age is a great game, I just wish they had included a first person mode. That is what made Oblivion for me. The ability to actually see everything from the characters eyes. Why render all of these beautiful meshes if I'm stuck viewing them over a sholder or from a distance?

Then you should play Peggle, low on resources but high on addiction.

Also try old school games, such as Half-Life 1, Counter Strike, maybe Doom 95, Quake 2, etc... Most will run fine within XP, Vista and 7 on low end hardware.
