I listen to metal and rock. I don't like rap or hip-hop, although my iPod has a lot of softer music too. I tend to listen to a lot of things.

"Clear!" *bzzzzzz* Thought I'd go ahead and be a pain by reviving an old thread :D (mostly to scare people of what I listen to because i'll be adding a youtube vid so everyone can be horrified) I listen to Metal and Rock, thats it.

Here is a lighter band I listen to. A Perfect Circle, I highly recommend them

Here is a very heavy band I listen to (I recommend you listen to it just because most of you would probably say "wtf???")

Your music doesn't scare me Dark Scyth, mainly because I listen to the same kind of music. I love music that scares most people lol. It's somewhat amusing to have someone give you that look like wtf is wrong with you?

It definitely is, I loved blaring music like this as school just to see peoples reaction. I didn't think it would scare you but there are lots of other people yet to listen. :D

Dark Scyth, the first one wasn't too bad. The second one, didn't make me go WTF? But I do prefer to be able to understand the actual lyrics.

I'm more of a rocker, old school type. I grew up listening to the Beetles and Queen, so I prefer that genre of music, specially from the 80's. I do enjoy a lot of the newer stuff, I'm a big Foo Fighters fan and that's mainly because I was a huge Nirvana fan.

Of all music out there I can listen and sometimes enjoy anything, EXCEPT; Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B

I can agree with that one, most music is ok to me except the ones listed above and it may be a surprise to some people but I can actually understand the lyrics in The Berzerker.

Must be from the years of listening to it :P

Back in the early 90's I tried listening to Rap for a while, mainly because I was stationed in Germany and all that the AFRN (Armed Forces Radio Network) played was Rap, and hip hop. Once back in the US, new stuff was coming out, Hooty and the Blowfish, Stone Temple Pilots, etc, and I realised just how wayward I had gone.

My wife and kids listen to "pop" now, and I always get told to change the radio station in the car so they can listen to their music :(

I'm into Melodic Death Metal, some regular Death Metal, Black Metal and a small amount of Heavy Metal. So as you can see, a pretty metal-centric taste. As others included youtube links, I feel obliged to also:

This one is Amon Amarth, a viking themed melodic death metal band:

And this is Dark Tranquillity, a very popular Swedish melodic death metal band, so popular in fact, one of their songs was in Brutal Legend:

Can't say that I listen to much metal anymore but since it's popular among some of you I'll throw in some other bands that you might enjoy, in order of most ear-friendly to migraine inducing.

I liked the second video. Since i'm not purely into metal and into the softer stuff I suppose I could post a few of those too.

One of my favorite songs by Flaw, good softer rock band, though they have some heavier songs too, I recommend them.

    Decent song by Destrophy

(Back to the heavier stuff) One of my favorite songs by Fear Factory. (if you like this song I recommend their Concrete album as it has this song and others just like it.)

(not quite as heavy but still good) One of my favorite songs by Machine Head.
