Install Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows Vista Ultimate. Once that's done, If your 360 is connected to the network, just turn it on then windows should detect it. The 360 will give you a key to type in, You type that into the PC. If you download XP MCE, I'm not sure if it will detect it. If not just open Media Center and click add extender. Then just type the code in and your done.

Any Windows Vista except Basic can use it. If you don't have Windows XP Media Center Edition, You're basically screwed.

There is a hack to enable Windows Media Centre to be installed to be installed on Windows XP Pro, however it is a very lengthy process to get up and running. After installing certain Windows Updates (which you will have installed by now) the ability to watch Live TV also gets broken.

I could probably find you a link if you’re interested.

Yes, but if your gonna download a OS and take all that time, you should just download Ultimate. IF your PC can run it.

Pop down to your local PC shop and pick up Windows XP Media Center Edition.
