Sonic The Hedgehog 4 - Episode 2 Beta 8 Leaked Download Discussion Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II is the second part of the episodic game Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and is slated to be released sometime in 2012. It was announced by Gamespot via a teaser trailer, but not much else is known about the game itself other than a few bits of information. The first is that Sega has announced Tails will be in the game. This was first noticed due to a Sega Blog tidbit relating to a poem called "The Hedgehog and the Fox", which would refer to both Sonic and Tails. He was later confirmed in both a teaser trailer and the logo's official reveal. Metal Sonic will be in Episode II as well, shown in the secret ending of Episode 1 and the new teaser trailer. Sega has stated numerous times that they have taken the strong feedback given to them about Episode 1 and taken it into account, resulting in a "new physics engine" and a "new graphics engine". Uncurling from ramps is also supposedly gone. Recently, the game's product page on Xbox Live Arcade leaked out several pieces of brand new information about the game, including four brand new zones (with one of the four being a "throwback" zone), Offline and Online Co-Op Multiplayer, and a brand new Special Stage, which is based on the Special Stage featured in "Sonic the Hedgehog 2". Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II (Beta 8) is a prototype version of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II for Windows PC. It was accidentally released via the Steam store on April 21, 2012. The build appears to be mostly complete and is fully playable. Leak At midnight EST on April 21st, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II was made available for pre-order on the Steam store. Users who preordered the game found that they were able to download and play this build of the game. This security hole was fixed the following morning, and users who preordered the game afterwards could not download the game. Those who had previously downloaded it are locked out once their Steam library updates (via restarting Steam, for instance), thus making the game unplayable without use of a crack. However, videos, music, and other leaked material from the game still had time to surface before access was removed. Prototype Issues: Certain textures in Sylvania Castle Zone often fail to load, resulting in flat white geometry. The game crashes upon switching windows if run in full-screen mode. Pressing 0 on the keyboard (or LT on an Xbox 360 controller) increases the number of rings in stock by 99. This can be used to easily increase lives. Pretty awesome find, always nice to see a beta of a Sonic game. Defiantly one i will have to try out when i'm home Anyone had a chance to play it yet?
It's pretty nice, obviusly a beta when I click on "0" on the keyboard it gives me no more than 99 rings. But for a beta is a pretty good game actually
Sonic 4 Episode 1 was shit, I mean, it had great graphics, but the physics were horribly awful. I wonder why the hell they brought up this failure again, though, it's said to be the last Episode of Sonic 4, which contents me, 'cos there won't be any more Sonic 4 bs. Sonic Generation is out, screw Sonic 4!
Sonic 4 was alright, it was the best recent Sonic game until Generations. However i agree Generations put it to shame, it was so much better in every way.
How do i get it to work with my steam account i have the files but it onlu opens the game and doesn't go onto steam.
Click the games menu, then add a non steam game to your library. Might not be the best idea in the world adding a leaked game though.
Sonic 4 Episode 2 is out on Xbox LIVE, PS3 Store and PC, plus any other I missed. To the point, it's so God damn slow good God, this is shit compared to Sonic Generations, SG is a Godsend, S4 is just to piss fans off. Btw, I don't believe in God but I just like to use it.
What happen with SEGA? A lot is leaked by mistake!! I remember the same thing happen in the past with Episode 1 for Wii, another leaked buid!! WFT!!
Indeed, Episode 1 leaked 6 months before it was released on the Xbox 360... same with some other Sega arcade games on the 360.
