Beginners RTS?

Hey I'm looking to play an RTS game but I'v never played one. I want one that will be user friendly and not too taxing on my computer. This is mainly because I have a bad cold and I'm off school and need something to do >_<

Age of Empires (AoE) - the first RTS game i ever owned, and to be hoenst still one of the best.

The main focus of the game is to gather resources, those been wood, food, stone and gold. You can then use this to build an town and train and army to go to war.

AoE is in the download center on Digiex too.

Age of Empires 3 is the best in the series and will run on your laptop, just not in high detail. We dont have a download of this as it is still sold in shops.

Command & Conquer and Red Alert are both great games too, i have spent a lot of time playing both these games over the years. If you play the campaign the games had some great cut scenes for the time. (you have to remember those games were released over 10 years ago)

No way, what so ever should you touch Supreme Commander LOL! Anyway I'd say the ones InsaneNutter mentioned, I'd also highly recommend myself. If you have a 360 you could also try Halo Wars for something a little different. Most RTS games should come with tutorials to teach you how to play them anyway. Not many just throw you in the deep end and expect you to know how to play them. I could also recommend either Starcraft (1st one) and Warcraft 1 - 3. They'll run on your system and are very enjoyable for beginners.
