To do this you will need a way to connect the Xbox 360 hard drive to the PC such as the Microsoft Transfer Kit or Datel Xsata.

neither, you must put them onto Partition 3 / cache of your 360 hard drive...

Though, I've never tried a pen drive, you would need the disc in the 360 and loaded. if you insert a pen drive it might...but like i said, never tried.
